Introducing: The Cambridge Series
First up – Cambridge Kölsch
Brace yourself for a trip down memory lane...
9 years ago, our CEO Daniel Lanigan opened Lord Hobo Bar in Cambridge MA to introduce fellow beer lovers to his affinity for world class beer. This became the first craft beer bar of it’s kind in Cambridge to offer a curated beer list by the Bossman himself, including local, national and exported beers that you couldn’t get your hands on elsewhere all while supporting independent breweries. Hobo Bar was is also known for its high end bar menu developed by Chef Nick, our current Taproom chef. It’s earned multiple Best of Boston beer bar awards, and continues to do so to this day. Some of the Hobos who built the culture, through curated playlists, sample tastes, and serving high-fives at no cost table side are still there today.
We’re always looking for ways to connect the dots between Hobo Bar and Hobo brewery, so we’re going back to where it all started and bringing that to where it’s all going with the Cambridge Series. This series is brewed by OG Hobos and new hobos, with more love than you can imagine. One of the things that brings us all together is our love for the celebration of following your own path through kick ass beer, and let us tell you, it’s ALWAYS time to celebrate.
So kick back, relax and sip slowly on this first edition.
Why a Kölsch?
We know, it isn’t an IPA and we’re cool with that. The sun is shining, the weather is sweet and it doesn’t get much more refreshing than a crushable light bodied beer, that finishes crisp and clean. This unique style is fermented with ale yeast, but finishes with lagering. So for those of you that can’t choose between an ale and a lager, the Kölsch has your back, and trust us, it’s damn good.
Where can I find said Kölsch?
You’ll be able to indulge in this delightfully brewed beer on tap at our HQ in Woburn, MA and at Lord Hobo Bar in Cambridge. You won’t find it anywhere else, so go ahead – put it in your calendar now. It’s probably the most important reminder you’ll have on your calendar this month.
